Dan Labutes is a professional chef turned studio potter living in Medicine Hat.  He earned a BFA with distinction in Ceramics from AUArts in 2019 and until recently was the Studio Technician at Medalta International Artists in Residence.

Dan focuses on functional work to explore and counter aspects of our society that so heavily relies on mass-production.
