Yong will present a talk on his practice as well as demonstrate his wheel throwing techniques.

He has a vast amount of education and experience; he earned his MFA in Ceramics at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a PhD in Design, Ceramic Arts and Ceramics from Kookmin University.

He has taught at various post-secondary institutions in the US and South Korea.

In his practice, Yong investigates the quiet tension between form, function, and sensory perception.
